Board of Directors - Candidates for 2025-2026

Synchro Belles Board of Directors

Synchro Belles BOD Candidates for 2025-2026

President:

Michael Davidson:  My daughter Cristina joined the Belles in 2018.  I have been serving on the Board since 2020, helping with the website, email, and technology in general.

I was not involved in athletics growing up, and being part of the Belles has opened my eyes to the value of having an organization like this as part of growing up.  I am constantly impressed by what I see in the swimmers, as well as the coaches and the parents.  The preparation, practice, repetition, overcoming struggles, and doing what is right - all things that I was not aware of happening in an organization our size prior to me joining the Belles.

My top priorities are the safety and fairness for every swimmer in the organization. Additionally, I am dedicated to fostering a healthy environment where both swimmers and coaches can thrive and develop to their fullest potential. Beyond these commitments, I pledge to get things done in our organization in a way that is supported by the rest of the Board and the parents.  (Belles on 3, Belles on 3…1,2,3) - Go Belles!

VP:

Dorothee "Doro" Zuleger — I am an occupational therapist, and the devoted mother of Leni Zuleger-Baker. Since 2020, our family has been a part of the Synchro Belles, witnessing firsthand their evolution and triumphs through various challenges. We have been attending practice in Oviedo but have always made it a point to have Leni foster friendships with the Palm Coast team.

As the owner of The Neuro Hub, a private practice, I  specialize in outpatient neurological rehabilitation with a focus on neuromuscular reeducation. I strongly believe in the importance of involving youth in organized sports. To me, sport is a vital platform for developing discipline, teamwork, and resilience among young individuals. Engaging in sports not only enhances physical abilities but also fosters social skills and emotional growth, setting a strong foundation for lifelong success and well-being.

My deep understanding of the body and musculoskeletal system is enriched by my background as a former rhythmic gymnast and an equestrian vaulter. I am eager to bring my extensive knowledge in flexibility, strengthening, and conditioning to further support and enhance the Synchro Belles, ensuring every athlete can achieve their best performance. I am committed to nurturing these qualities in the Synchro Belles and beyond, advocating for a supportive, enriching environment where young athletes can thrive.

Treasurer:

Brandon Baker:  Qualifications:

I’m currently an unpaid minority owner in The Neuro Hub, an outpatient neurological rehab practice, and my duties in that role is to serve as the business and financial officer. I manage the patient billing, accounts payable, and future financial growth of the company. The Neuro Hub was established in 2017.

I served as a director in the Winter Park Pines community association from 2016-2019. My duties on the non profit board was to manage the landscape contracts for the green space within our neighborhood as well as attend board meetings for discussion and voting on board topics.

I am currently a Senior Manager for AdventHealth, and part of my job is managing a 300k+ annual technology budget including people and operations.

My why:

I grew up a competition speed swimmer, and swam at the national level in age group for Brevard County YMCA, Maclay and ATAC in Tallahassee. My sister was an artistic swimmer and swam at the national level for the Tallahassee Serinas. So you could say pools and pool decks are in my blood. We recognized early on that artistic swimming would be a great fit for our daughter and Leni joined the Belles in the summer of 2019 at 6 yrs old. Our family supports her out of the Oviedo location. The Belles have been family for her as she has grown up, looking up to the JO girls and modeling the teamwork, dedication and camaraderie she learned from them as she moves through the divisions. I strongly believe children’s participation in group based sports builds a positive foundation in them that is carried on into adulthood.

I would be honored to serve in a board capacity for the Synchro Belles and help shape the future of the organization by providing transparent financial reports to the board and parents when asked, maintaining our accounts with detail and keen oversight, and working collaboratively with our accountant to make sure The Belles remain fiscally strong during my service on the board.

Secretary:

Adriana Davidson:  My daughter Cristina joined the Belles in 2018.  I have been serving as the Board Secretary since 2020, and now acting as Team Administrator.  I make sure that everyone stays informed and connected. My commitment is to keep up the clear communication and smooth organization.  You know how to find me .  Go Belles!

At Large:

Riccardo Bevilacqua:  I would like to assist with motivating the girls. They need more enthusiasm than what the coaches are providing. Initiatives with that goal should be considered.

Being a professor and mentor and advisor of graduate students, I am able to create opportunities for them and to instill excitement for what they do. I would like to do the same for the Belles.

My CV is online: https://www.riccardobevilacqua.com/RiccardoBevilacqua_Resume.pdf

Noemi Liberati:  I am an assistant professor in the Department of Engineering Fundamentals at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a proud synchro mom. Originally from Italy, I hold a master's degree specializing in the optimal control of flexible structures. My family’s professional journey has taken us across the U.S., from California, to New Mexico, New York, and Florida. I have also worked as an educator at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex and contributed to smart city initiatives like NetCityLED.

I have been part of the synchro community since 2020 when we were in Gainesville.

My swimmer joined the Belles in 2021 as an intermediate in Oviedo and she is now training as a JO-level swimmer in Palm Coast. I have the unique perspective of having supported my daughter through training in both locations.

I deeply value the dedication, creativity, and teamwork that this sport fosters in young athletes.

I am passionate advocate for youth development, and I am eager to contribute to support the growth and success of the Synchro Belles. I believe in building strong connections between families, coaches, and athletes, and in creating a positive and inclusive environment where all swimmers can thrive.

Kimberly Restrepo:  My family and I have been part of the Synchro Belles family for eight years and I have been a member of the board for the last seven. Over the years I have volunteered on several committees including coordinator for the Oviedo pool, team store, fundraising, coaching committee and bylaws committee. For the later part of last season, and again this season, I have served as Vice President.

My daughter was one of the original Oviedo swimmers joining as a novice the first year the Belles came to Oviedo. Two years ago we relocated to Saint Johns and my daughter now swims as a JO at the Palm Coast Pool.  Because of this I have a good understanding of both pool locations and the different levels of swimmers.

As a level one coach I have been on deck and assisted the coaches, training young swimmers for several seasons giving me an added perspective to the sport of artistic swimming.

I am thankful for being a part of such a great team of supportive families, all working together for the betterment of our swimmers and coaches. I look forward to continuing to do my part.

Matt Spence:  My daughter Gabi (aka “Jordan”) joined the SynchroBelles in 2016, and she has been a JO since the 2017 season.  I love the passion and dedication Gabi’s and her teammates have shown during her time on the team, as these incredible girls continue to grow together- bonding over hard work and persevering through any challenges that come their way.

Over the past few years, I have assisted the Belles in fundraising efforts for Nationals as the team competed in Colorado Springs, Gainesville, and Hampton.  I became even more interested in getting involved in 2024 after the prior Belles board leadership team expressed a perceived lack of parental participation for board related roles and activities.  My ultimate goal would be to have a Synch board that continues to expand its efforts for increased parental involvement and transparency in its decision making, actions, and activities.

Professionally, I have been a funeral director and preplanner for 10 years with a sales background in the financial services industry.  I am active in church- where I have served on the Elder boards for two different protestant churches for over 15 years. I  work hard to balance straight forward sensibility and communication with tact, compassion, and empathy.  I am comfortable making tough decisions and skilled in public speaking, networking, and mediation and ultimately want to have a positive impact on those I interact with personally or professionally.

Bob Spiers:  My family and I live in Oviedo. My daughter, Nora, is finishing her third season with the Belles.  She swims at the Intermediate level. I am currently a member of the Coaches Committee, Swim Gear Committee and Board of Directors. This is my second year serving on the Coaches Committee and Board of Directors.  This is my first year serving on the Swim Gear Committee. I think the Synchro Belles is an amazing organization and I am proud to be a part of it. If I am voted onto the Board of Directors I will continue to advocate for the development of our coaching staff and for what I believe is in the best interest of the Synchro Belles. Regardless, I will always volunteer my time and support the Synchro Belles to the best of my ability. Go Belles!
