Interested in joining our team?

Artistic Swimming season is aligned to the school calendar year.  Practice begins when school starts in August, and our competitive ends as school wraps up at the beginning of summer.

We typically accept new swimmers from July until sometime in October.  A summer camp is often part of our schedule and is a great way to be introduced into the world of Artistic Swimming (formerly known as Synchronized Swimming).

There are three levels that are in the Synchro Belles.

  • Novice. This is the beginning level of Artistic swimming.  It is expected that anyone starting at the Novice level be able to swim unassisted.
  • Intermediate.  More advanced than Novice, but still learning the sport.  "Level 1 Testing" will give a good idea of expectations to be an Intermediate Artistic Swimmer.
  • Junior Olympic (J.O.) - also known as "Age Group."  This group has passed "Level 1" and "Level 2"

There are no age requirements for the various teams, they are typically sorted by skill and ability.  We have had 4 year old to 16 year old Novice, and have had 10 year old JO swimmers all the way up to 18 years old.

We have recently replaced the Notarized form - please contact the Secretary if you need the form.

Our full 2024-2025 Parent Handbook can be found here.

PARENT INVOLVEMENT

Parents can play many roles in sports: current or former athlete, coach, fan, motivator, role model or critic. A few studies have shown that family members may influence an athlete’s involvement and achievement in sport more than coaches. Parents also are the first and most critical agents at socializing sports.

DURING PRACTICE:

Parents can stay closeby, but please do not go onto pool deck during practices.  If you need to get your swimmer early, please let the coach know.

DURING COMPETITIONS:

Parents need to stay closeby, but there will be designated swimmer & coach areas, and designated parent areas.  Please respect these rules as it could jeopardize our team's status in the competition.  WE WILL NEED VOLUNTEERS during competitions.  There will be a sign up form for each event.  We really appreciate any and all enthusiasm!

Please review the checklists for items to bring to practice and competitions.
